    Mr Abdoulie Ebrima Jammeh, now standard-bearer for the NUP, was the Director General of The Gambia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) for over 9 years and banks a combined unblemished 35 years of distinguished public service career with an inspirational reputation for excellence in leadership and administration.

    CAREER SYNOPSIS

    2012 – 2021 Director General of The Gambia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). Also served as Head of the Banjul Accord Group Secretariat, an ICAO Sub-Regional Grouping of ECOWAS CAA’s for the same period.

     

    2003 – 2012 Deputy Director General of The Gambia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). Also doubled as Project Manager for Banjul International Airport Improvement Project from 2009 to 2012

     

    2000 – 2003 Corporate Planning Manager, The Gambia Civil Aviation Authority 1992 – 1998 Assistant Personnel Officer/Personnel Officer/ Senior Assistant Secretary, Personnel Management Office (PMO) – Central Government

     

    1989 – 1990 Teacher at Gambia High School (Now Gambia Senior Secondary School)

    1995 - 1998: (MSc Development Management, PGD Information Systems Management) Glasgow Caledonian University, UK

    • Aviation Safety Management for Directors General of Civil Aviation at the Singapore Aviation Academy;

    • Strategic Planning at the Island and Small States Institute, University of Malta;
    • Aviation Security Management at the International Air Transport Association Training & Development Centre in Montreal, Canada and

    • He also served as Guest Speaker/ Resource Person/ Moderator at various International Conferences and Fora.
